Registered Dietitian -Functional Nutrition
Faiths Nutrition Counseling LLC is seeking a Registered Dietitian (Independent Contractor) to provide virtual Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) services to clients across a variety of nutrition-related conditions.
The Contractor will deliver evidence-based, patient-centered nutrition care via telehealth while maintaining clinical autonomy and adhering to all applicable professional and legal standards.
The Contractor will be responsible for:
- Conducting initial and follow-up Medical Nutrition Therapy (MNT) assessments via telehealth
- Developing individualized, evidence-based nutrition care plans
- Documenting all patient encounters in the Company’s electronic health record system (Healthie or designated platform) within required timelines
- Scheduling all follow-up appointments for assigned patients within the Company’s scheduling system
- Communicating with patients regarding their nutrition care between visits, as appropriate using Company-approved communication systems (e.g. Healthie chat feature)
- Maintaining professional standards of care, ethical practice, and compliance with applicable federal, state, and payer requirements
- Ordering testing as clinically indicated such as SIBO testing and GI-MAP testing.
- This is a flexible independent contractor position.
- Standard appointment length is 60 minutes per session. However, the Contractor may schedule 30-minute, 60-minute, or 90-minute sessions based on clinical judgment and patient need.
- For compensation purposes, all sessions must meet a minimum of one (1) billable unit per encounter. Each unit is 15 minutes. The contractor will be paid at a rate of $45 an hour for MNT.
- The contractor will be paid an additional $5 per hour of MNT for clients that are brought in by the contractor. This applies to initial and follow-up sessions.

As an independent contractor, you’ll have the flexibility to practice independently while receiving the resources needed to become familiar with our systems and workflows. Onboarding includes training on our electronic health record, scheduling, documentation standards, billing processes, communication tools, and practice policies.
Our practice will begin the process of credentialing you with insurance companies after you’ve signed on. This process can take anywhere from 60-120 days, typically.
Yes, contractors will be paid $15 for all no-shows and late cancellations (less than 24 hours notice). If the contractor decides to bill the client for the no-show or late-cancellation, the contractor will receive $30 total.
Yes, we include a flat payment of $200 which will be paid out after you’ve seen your first 4 patients. This is to cover you filling out your CAQH and other onboarding tasks.
